On my way home from Albacon! [Oct. 13th, 2008|02:07 pm]

Ok, I am in a "Coffee Beanery" a "cafe" type place in the Amtrak Albany Station (well really in Rensselaer, NY) and it has FREE WiFi! I now have something to do till my 3:05P train. Scheduled to get into Penn Station at 5:55P and should be home-home by 7PM!

Albacon is V-E-R-Y small, I bet they did not have more then 450 people. But I had fun ran into a good number of faces I know from other cons. Pictures, maybe later when I get home and I find ones I can post.

"Small" is a relative term.

You're just used to really big cons.

I guess you are correct, I am used to 1200+ people.

It seemed small to me too, but not in a bad way. There was actually as much there that interested me as many of the bigger cons and plenty of interesting people to talk to.

This is true. I just thought it might be just a little bit bigger. But yes there where many interesting people there many new ones and many "old" friends. I had fun.

Oh, BTW, I am home - about 15 mins now.

I enjoyed the smallness. It was easier to talk to people and spend time with them.

It was a very nice con. I guess it's just that I am so used to cons like Lunacon and Arisia that the smallness of this one, at times, left me looking for just a little bit more [but what that is I don't know]. But I did have fun talked to some new people and many people I know from other cons. And of course it was very nice to get to talk more with you and Mark.
