You go, Willie Nelson!! [Feb. 15th, 2006|06:54 pm]

[I been tying to post this all day and others have beat me to this but here is my post on the subjet.]

I just love Country music and now Willie Nelson have releases a song that plays homage to gay cowboys, its titled "Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly (Fond of Each Other)". Here are just a small list of some of the news sites that have an interesting article about Willie Nelson's gay cowboy song (most are the same AP story).

I dunno. I mean I'm all for any effort to fight homophobia, but it looks to me like Willie's just trying to cash in.

BTW: They say he recorded this song a year before the movie came out (no pun). He also did the closing song in the movie.

Well yes, but he didn't release it for a year. I could be wrong, and I'm sure I'm more cynical than you are, but the timing seems very advantageous to Willy.
That said, I'm glad he's doing it, even he is cashing in.

You do know that it can take some time from the time a song is first recorded to the time it hits the market. Also Feb 14th is a great day to release a love song.

BTW: I can be cynical when I need to be.
