|Bisexual Contingent in NYC Pride Parade
||[Jun. 23rd, 2006|12:05 am]
The New York Area Bisexual Network banner has been replaced, sort of, (someone is bring me the temporary banner tonight) so I am looking for help in carrying it this Sunday in the NYC Pride march.|
If you are a bisexual/bi-friendly person who is not marching with any particular group please consider helping me. I'd sure appreciate some help with the banner.
We will be right there in Section 9 - Bisexual, Transgender, Political Movements and Politicians. All bisexual contingents will be lining up at 11:30 AM on 56th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.
Hope to see you there.

PS I also want to repeat my idea that, especially with the backlash that seems to be going on in with some of or more unenlightened LGBT brothers and sisters that people should carry placards in memory of "the mother of pride", the late bisexual activist Brenda Howard.
In this way we could remember the one year anniversary of her death as well as remind people that Women, Lesbians and Bisexual people were ALWAYS in the forefront of the LGBT Movement and an important part of OUR Community.
BTW This could be an idea for any bisexual/bi-friendly person marching in any event,anyplace, not just in New York, so we could educate all people everywhere.
