I am in need of some activist help on Sunday March 2th [Feb. 19th, 2008|09:38 pm]

I need help getting two banners carried as well as having people march behind the banners for two groups that I am on the Board of on March 2th.

The groups are (1) the Queens Chapter of PFLAG and (2) the New York Area Bisexual Network (NYABN).

The Parade is the 9th Annual St. Patrick's for all Parade.

If you can help please reply here or email me at: willhelp@pflag-queens.org or willhelp@nyabn.org

About how long is the parade route? Assuming it's not too far, my answer is...I think I can make it, but not carrying a banner?

And also? Why does the parade site have a banner for 101.1 JackFM? 101.1 hasn't been JackFM for months now; it (thank God) went back to it's Oldies (though I use the term loosely here) format about six months ago.

1) Not sure how long guessing only about 1.5 miles if that. I believe the route is..
* start on 43rd street and turn onto Skillman Ave
* Go east on Skillman Ave till 56th Ave turns left
* 1 block to Woodside ave turns right
* Goes along Woodside ave till 60th street.
Love to have you there to help wave.
2) Don't know why the old logo, I do believe "jack" moved to HD radio. I am also glad that WCBS oldie is back.

Here is a link to a map of where it will be:
