[Just found this in my inbox from "The Call" a show on cable station "NY1"]

Today marks the first World Autism Awareness Day. In New York, events are being held to raise awareness and money to study the brain disorder that affects an estimated 30 million worldwide.
Right now, there's no cure, and no effective means to prevent and treat the disorder. Tonight, a doctor will join us to take your questions and comments.
How has autism touched your life? What questions do you have about the disorder? What advice would you share with others coping with it?

Send us your thoughts right now along with your first name and neighborhood. Then join NY1's John Schiumo tonight at 9 to hear the opinions of your fellow New Yorkers.
